| There are several
types of dental implants to suit our specific needs. Implants can
be divided into two basic groups. One that is inserted into the
bone and those that are placed over the bone. In both these instances
implants are placed under the tissues and extend into the mouth.
There are two basic types of implants available at our dental
clinic.
1) CONVENTIONAL IMPLANTS: Conventional implants
are applicable to almost anyone who is looking to replace one, multiple,
all missing teeth with a permanent restoration solution. Conventional
implants techniques have had good long-standing success rates.
2) IMMEDIATE IMPLANTS: Immediate implants are
also known as one day or same day implants. This is the case whereby
dental implants can be placed at the same time after teeth are extracted.
Dental implants can now be embedded after tooth extraction, such
techniques being referred to as immediate implants,
one-day implants, single day implants
or same day implants. This means that the patient
have new tooth roots upon leaving the office. |
